How It All Began
All In One was founded by Kate Dawson in 2009 after she experienced a sleepless night trying to keep her daughter Lily warm due to kicking off her duvet.
Recognising a product gap, Kate sought to create a solution for the ever-present issue of cold feet and created what is believed to be the world’s first onesie—a one-piece leisure garment covering the entire body. Since then, All In One has been developing its product line available across England, offering an array of customised products including onesies, hoodies, and jumpsuits.
Focusing on superior quality, bespoke onesies, manufactured by Master Craftsmen in Britain, Kate grew the business quickly over the next 12 years, delivering onesies to more than 50 countries. A celebrity following was quickly established including, Holly Willoughby, Pete Andre, One Direction, Ferne Cotton, Tom Daly, Laura Trott and all housemates on Channel 4’s, Big Brother, spotted wearing AIO onesies.
As the founder of All In One, Kate Dawson was honoured with an OBE (Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) in 2018 for her work, praised for its premium, hand-made garments.
In 2021, Kate made the difficult but hard-earned decision to retire from the day-to-day running of the business and the brand was acquired by a small but determined group of superfans. This group has the drive, vision, ambition and determination to continue evolving the brand by exploring new styles, modern fabrics and environmental credentials whilst staying true to our original values. We will continue manufacturing high-quality, functional and timelessly fashionable products that embrace comfort with styling suitable for indoor and outdoor wear.
